MTMeiTian Technology

Database DR Service

The business can't stop, and the database can't be lost. Object-, user- and database-level real-time replication keeps the standby queryable, switchable and ready to take over — and MeiTian delivers everything from architecture design to failover drills.

Database DR Service

Six capabilities behind a working DR system

01

Multi-granularity replication

Choose object-, user- or database-level replication as needed; log-level real-time capture keeps latency in seconds.

02

Read/write splitting & analytics

The standby database serves queries, reports and live statistics, offloading production — DR resources no longer sit idle.

03

Nothing on the production DB

Agentless architecture: no components installed on the production database, minimal overhead, virtually no impact on production performance.

04

Unified graphical console

Deployment, monitoring and switchover are fully graphical — no command line — with live visibility of replication state and lag.

05

DR architecture design

Active-active and two-site/three-center architectures designed to business tier, compatible with commercial and domestic database environments.

06

Failover drills

Regular real switchover drills verify that RPO / RTO targets hold, so the failover works when it matters.

Professional services

How it works: from architecture design to routine drills

1Assessment: map the database estate, business tiers and DR objectives
2Architecture design: replication granularity, topology and RPO / RTO targets
3Build-out: standby deployment and real-time replication go-live
4Failover drill: real switchover exercises verify takeover capability
5Operations: monitoring, alerting, periodic drills and health checks
FAQ

Database DR Service

What RPO / RTO can you achieve?

Log-level real-time replication keeps data lag in seconds under normal conditions (RPO near zero); with runbooks and drills, takeover completes in minutes (RTO). Exact targets are committed in writing per business and network conditions.

DR vs. backup — do we need both?

Backup answers "can we get the data back" (deletion, ransomware, historical versions); DR answers "can the business keep running" (fast takeover on failure). For critical systems we recommend both — MeiTian provides backup (MetaBak) and DR together.

Will it affect production database performance?

Log-level capture with an agentless design means nothing is installed on the production database and normal-run overhead is minimal.

Can the standby database be used day-to-day?

Yes. With read/write splitting it serves queries, reports and analytics, putting DR resources to real use.
